The Filipino concept of tagapamagitan (or “go-between”) plays an important role in bridging Christian mission and Philippine culture, especially in relation to understanding Jesus Christ as the ultimate mediator. The concept of tagapamagitan also serves as the cultural link in incorporating the Jesus of the Bible to the cultural realities and spiritual relationships of Filipinos.
